Edward "Chip" R. Allen

Edward "Chip" R. Allen, 60 of Butler, PA died unexpectedly  Monday, July 17, 2023 in Venango County, Reno, PA. He was born in Butler, PA. January 27, 1963 son of the late Edward C. Allen and the late Virginia Hockenberry Allen.

He was a 1981 graduate of Karns City Area High School and served the United States Army form from 1981 to 1985. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing skeet shooting, target practice, get-togethers with his family and cook outs. He was very good cook and baker. He loved gardening and canned whatever he grew.

He is survived by 2 sisters: Kathy Allen of Butler

                           A brother: Steve ‘Beaver’ Allen of Butler

                          5 nephews: Shane and Sandy Allen of Chicora

                                             Thomas Domback of California

                                             Justin Allen of Green County, PA

                                             Brett Blaskowitz and his companion Angela Diehm of Elwood City

                                             Jesse Allen and fiancé Taylor Dzikowski of Pittsburgh, PA

                              2 nieces: Heather and Amanda Allen of Butler and their mother  Cherie Lambing

                             3 great nieces

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Allen

Friends received 5-9 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Steighner Funeral Home, Chicora, PA followed by Military Honors by the Chicora and E. Brady American Legion.at 9 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
